How we participate

• Be curious, respectful and willing to listen.
• Challenge an idea with reasons or evidence without attacking the person sharing it.
• Make room for different levels of experience and different perspectives.
• Share practical context, acknowledge uncertainty and credit other people's work.
• Protect information that another participant has not chosen to make public.

What is not acceptable

• Harassment, threats, intimidation or targeted abuse.
• Discrimination or demeaning conduct based on identity, background or personal characteristics.
• Spam, deceptive promotion, impersonation or repeated disruption.
• Illegal, exploitative or deliberately harmful content or activity.
• Sharing another person's private information, images or contributions without permission.
• Attempting to compromise a Program, participant or OpenSkool system.

Moderation and consequences

OpenSkool may guide a discussion, remove content, limit participation or remove someone from a Program or community activity when necessary to protect the learning environment. A serious or repeated violation may lead to exclusion from future activities.

The response will depend on the context, severity, safety of participants and available information. Immediate action may be taken where there is a credible risk of harm or unlawful conduct.

Report a concern

Use the Contact page to report a concern. Include the relevant Program or page, what happened and any context you can safely share. Do not publicly repost sensitive material simply to document it.
